Welcome to Kerrimuir Neighbourhood House
Kerrimuir Neighbourhood House has been like a second home to me over the past five years. It’s a place where community truly comes to life, where people of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life come together to connect, learn, and grow.
As both a participant and a leader, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful this space is. Whether it’s through exercise classes that uplift and energise, committee meetings that shape the future of the House, or casual chats in the hallway, Kerrimuir and the staff really offer a sense of belonging that’s rare and hard to find.
What I love most is the spirit of inclusion and care that runs through everything we do. It’s not just about the programs, it’s about the people that attend my classes and also the committee. I love being part of a community that values connection, wellbeing, and empowerment and it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

Dear Kerrimuir Neighbourhood House Team,
I would like to share my experience at Kerrimuir Neighbourhood House.
Every Tuesday, I go to Kerrimuir Neighbourhood House for my English class. I always look forward to it. The class is very friendly, and very relaxed. At the beginning, our teacher asks us to talk about our past week.
We can say anything we want. Even though our English is not very good, the teacher always listens patiently. She encourages us with positive words. This makes me feel comfortable and happy. For me, the class is not only about English. It is also about building confidence, and making connections with people.
The Neighbourhood House also has many other activities. There are art sessions, exercise groups, playgroups for children, social lunches, and walking groups.
These activities help people stay active, make friends, and enjoy life.
I feel very grateful for this place. It is not just about learning. It is about belonging. And I hope the government continues to support the Neighbourhood House, because it brings so much value to our community.
Thank you very much for all your wonderful work and support. I am happy to be part of this community.

I’ve been involved with KNH since about 2022 when I joined the Walking Group. We do a lovely walk and then go to a local Café for a chat and coffee / tea / hot chocolate. It really is a lot of fun and many friends have been made.
I‘m now on the Committee which is great, I also learn Mahjong and volunteer to host an English Conversation Group once a week (much laughter is had during this session).
There are many groups at KNH that you can participate in – it is a friendly, welcoming, warm Neighbourhood House with wonderful staff.
I hope to be associated for many more years with KNH.
Michele
Kerrimuir Neighbourhood House is such a warm and welcoming place, and I am constantly amazed by how much the team does for the community.
The amount of thought, care, and genuine goodwill that goes into everything is just incredible. Every activity and initiative is planned with the best intentions, and it is inspiring to be part of something that truly makes a difference. I feel lucky to be involved!
